CBS News: The Latest on coronavirus in Colorado, Oklahoma

UPDATE (11:30 a.m.

ET): Authorities have confirmed the death of a man in Coronavision, Oklahoma, after he fell ill with liver disease, officials said Friday.

Authorities said in a statement that the man, who was hospitalized, died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the abdomen.

He was not immediately identified.

Coronaviruses are spread through direct contact with the bodily fluids of the sick, the sickle cell anemia virus, or coronaviridae.

In some cases, coronaviral particles can be found in the lungs of those infected.

Coronas are highly contagious and can be passed from person to person, especially if people are not vaccinated against the virus.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has warned that if you have recently traveled to a region with recent high numbers of cases, you may need to get vaccinated.

People should contact their healthcare provider if they have symptoms of liver disease or liver disease-related coronavirosts, the CDC said.
