Microsoft says it’s rolling out an update to its Xbox Live online video service

Microsoft says that its Xbox LIVE online video system will soon be live-streaming.

The company said on Wednesday that it will roll out a “new way for you to experience your favorite sports and entertainment content” for Xbox Live.

Microsoft said that it plans to launch the new service on October 6, though it said it will be available as a standalone application in “a few weeks.”

It said that the new app will allow users to “stream their favorite sports, movies and TV shows in a more streamlined, seamless and easy-to-use way.”

The company also announced that its XBLA gaming service will be coming soon.
